    I like the blending of fact with fiction in 'A Piece Of The World' and after reading the premise, I took the opportunity to check out the artist, whose name is new to me.

    His work seems to have been quite controversial, a kind of 'you either love him or hate him' scenario and whilst I wasn't keen on all of his paintings, the one referred to in the book, is a very powerful image, striking in its simplicity.
