Wondrous Words Wednesday
My word comes from a book I just finished reading called Blackbird.
Epically-resembling an epic; heroic; majestic; impressively great.

Blackbird by Anna Carey Post
Blackbird by Anna Carey Post
When she wakes up with no recollection of who she is, two questions pop up in her mind, What is my name? and How did I get here on the subway tracks?
Only a tattoo on her wrist with a picture of a blackbird and a code number are the only clues to her identity.
This story takes you on an intriguing adventure of finding who you really are in a scary situation as she is being hunted down.
A thrilling read.

Under the Same Blue Sky by Pamela Schoenewaldt
Under The Same Blue Sky by Pamela Schoenewaldt
"One woman's wonderfully determined journey through a world at the edge of war to seek her family's past and her own future."
My Thoughts:
Hazel is a German woman living in the United States in 1914 during the war. She finds herself struggling to find the real world around her safe for her and her loved ones. It's a page-turning event as she finds healing even after the effects of such a devastating time in her life.I found her to be a very courageous and brave person in the situations she found herself in.

My words today are two ice hockey terms, since I am a fan of the N.Y. Rangers, who are in contention for the Stanley Cup.
1. Twig- another name for a hockey stick.
2. Waffle- The goalie's blocker.

With such an upbringing, it's probably not strange that I had played a game for years in which I erected imaginary historical markers along my own life's path.
