Wondrous Words Wednesday

Wondrous Words Wednesday

Taken from Difficult SAT Words

Decry- to criticize openly.

Diffident- shy, quiet, modest.

Impinge- to impact, make an impression.

  1. I knew decry and feel like I should have known impinge. I just read that they're going to change the vocabulary on the SAT. Thanks for playing along!

  2. Hi Mary Ann,

I am not quite sure what SAT is in the USA, however over here in the UK, it relates to an educational examination. If that is the case, then I am not quite so short of the old brain cells as I thought, as I knew all your words this week, which must be a first for me!

'Diffident' really does sound like its definition, don't you agree ... such an unassuming word!

Thanks for sharing and have a great weekend,

    1. I agree diffident doesn't sound like it's definition.
