Reading: Pittsburg Landing  by Robert Burns Clark

Received : Wonder  by R.J. Palacio     Amazon Vine

August Pullman was born with a facial deformity that, up until now, has prevented him from going to a mainstream school. Wonder, now a New York Times best seller, begins from Auggie's point of view, but soon switches to include his classmates, his sister, her boyfriend, and others.

  10. Hi Mary Ann,

I have seen some great reviews about 'Wonder' and no-one seems to have anything detrimental to say about it, including 'Bermudaonion' by the sound of things.

'Pittsburg Landing' probably isn't my kind of book, but I know that my father-in-law would enjoy this one ... Great gift idea, thanks for mentioning it.

  18. I've read some good reviews on this one. When it first came out I dismissed it because the cover looked like a children's book.
