What is your biggest pet peeve when it comes to books? Maybe you don't like love triangles or thin plots? Tell us about it!

My biggest pet peeve is dragging the plot out, to me it gets very annoying.

  1. Dragging the plot out is definitely frustrating, though I have to say that books that are too short sometimes put me off as well. I have to feel like I'm getting my moneys worth out of the book as well sadly. :(

  2. That gets to me too. My pet peeve, and it's one I've run in too often these days, is idiotic/shallow protagonists who just stumble into trouble and blunder their way to victory with other folks doing all the real work. I want a smart and capable protagonist.

  3. Ooooh yes! If the plot isn't working, fix it, don't just let it keep on going in the same manner.

Thanks for stopping by today! Happy Friday!

  13. Great point. I've run across a handful of books that have so much 'fluff' that isn't needed. UGH! I so hate this. LOL Following

  15. OH GOODNESS YES!
When really thin plotlines are dragged on and on and on. Or recycled again and again in a series. FAIL.
