Booking Through Thursday

Any New Year's reading resolutions?

I want to be more committed to my reading instead of spending my time watching too much TV. I would like to finish books on a more timely basis and give my blog readers more opportunities to win them through more frequent giveaways.

  1. I like your resolutions, I also want to read/write more & watch TV less...kind of easier in the winter, I think.

  2. Sounds like some great resolutions and totally do-able. The trick to turning off the tv is to find a book that captures your imagination so much that you have no desire to turn it on (well, at least not all the time). One such book (if you haven't read it already) that did that recently for my Mom (yes...for my Mom! She saw my copy in my TBR and thought it looked good, bought one for herself and the rest is history...) was IF I STAY by Gayle Forman. Best of luck on the resolutions..and happy reading!

  3. Those are excellent resolutions. One of the reasons I started blogging in the first place was to keep me away from the TV! If I don't have a book to get involved with, I tend to just watch anything that flickers. Happy New Year and happy reading in 2011!

  7. Thanks for vising my blog! I've gone almost completely to TV-on-DVDs which is great (no commercials!) but can be a bit difficult at times, too (easy to watch several episodes back to back). :)

I hope you succeed with your goals.
