Wondrous Words Wednesday

Here are my words for today.

1. Palaver-  is prolonged and idle discussion.To talk unnecessarily at length.

2. Torpor- is a state of physical or mental inactivity, lethargy.

    I knew about both your words this week, although I didn't think that Palaver had the definition you gave. I checked it out for myself and managed to find a second definition in the Collins Dictionary, which sums up what I always thought it meant ...

    "Palaver is unnecessary fuss and bother about the way something is done"

    A great post which made me think more closely about a word I have always taken for granted :)
