Wondrous Words Wednesday

Wondrous Words Wednesday

Here are my words for today.

Paulownia wood- is a very light fine grained, soft, and warp-resistant and is used for chests, boxes, and clogs.

Netsuke- is a carved buttonlike ornament, esp. of ivory or wood, formerly worn in Japan to suspend articles from the sash of a kimono.

  1. Both of those words are new to me but I can picture a netsuke.

  2. I asked my wood-working husband if he knew Paulownia wood. It's unfamiliar to him too so we both learned a new word toddy. Thanks.
