America's First Daughter by Stephanie Dray & Laurie Kamoie

America's First Daughter by Stephanie Dray & Laurie Kamoie

This story of "Patsy" Jeffersaon, daughter of Thomas Jefferson is taken from original sources and thousands of letters.
As a deathbed vow to her mother Patsy was determined to take care of her father. Her own life was filled with hard work and many hardships and sacrifices she had to bear. Her husband wasn't much
help to her even in the raising of their ten children, but her father always came to her aid when needed.
I liked this story a lot as it took you back in time to a very hard existence and the time of slavery. I couldn't put it down, it's a special read.

  1. Yikes - ten children? That could be a hardship itself. This did sound interesting and I am glad you enjoyed it.
