  3. Schadenfreude is a puzzle to me. Unlike Julia, I don't even remember seeing it before. I'm guessing you are reading a German-related book?

  4. Thanks for sharing your words, while I haven't heard of 'schadenfreude' before, the others are ones that were buried in my mind so I wasn't even aware of them.

  5. I've seen zeitgeist before but don't think I've ever known it's meaning. I know what schadenfreude means when I see it but I would never think to use it. Of course, I'd have trouble pronouncing it even if I wanted to use it.
