Wondrous Words Wednesday

Wondrous Words Wednesday

My words today are taken from a book I just finished reading: The Widow's Walk.

Conical- having the shape of a cone.

Hirsute- hairy, shaggy, bushy.

Ameliorate- make (something
bad or unsatisfactory) better.

  2. Hi Mary Ann,

Ameliorate was the only one of your words that I wasn't too sure about, although I have come across it before, but probably skipped over it, or grasped the general definition from the context in which it was used.

    Thanks for sharing,

    Yvonne.

  3. I used the word ameliorate in a blog post scheduled for tomorrow. I was hoping people would know what it means -- they will if they read your blog today!
