My words today come from: Glossary Of Irish Terms, From the book The Girl Who Came Home.

Hooley- a wild or noisy party.

Craic- enjoyable social activity; a good time.

Piseo'ga- superstitious practice.

Cailin- (col-een) a girl or young woman.

  2. I learned "craic" while reading travel guides in advance of a trip to Ireland in 2012. I've heard "colleen" but didn't know it was spelled like that. The others are new to me.
