Wondrous Words Wednesday

Wondrous Words Wednesday

My words today are:

oleaginous- rich in, covered with, oily or greasy; distastefully complimentary.

palaver- prolonged and idle discussion; talk unnecessairly at length.

bryony- any of genus of the tendril-bearing vines of the gourd family.

  1. The bryonys are beautiful. I haven't heard palaver for a long, long time. Old-timers use to use it all the time as in: "Aunt Marge and Mom palavered all afternoon while snapping beans."

  2. I love the last definition of oleaginous. That could be useful!
