My words today are taken from the book I am reading: Two Sisters  by Mary Hogan

Clavius (crater)- One of the largest crater formations on the moon.

Tumescent- Pompous or pretentious.

  2. Tumescent also has a less g-rated meaning, as you may have discovered; its other meaning is "swollen" or "engorged." I'll let your imagination do the rest. I'd never heard of Clavius before, though.

  3. Those are new to me. I do like tumescent but wouldn't want anyone to think I meant the meaning JNC alluded to!
