Q:

Are "best" &" favorite" the same thing? If someone asked you " What's the best  book you ever read?" Would the answer be the same as for "What's your favorite?"

Best and favorite is when a book stays in your memory for all time, it can mean the same for both sometimes. That is only my opinion.

All You Could Ask For by Mike Greenberg Review - Post

All You Could Ask For    by Mike Greenberg                  Review- Post

Brooke, Samantha, & Katherine don't know one another yet, but all three are about to discover the conquering power of friendship-and that they have all they could ask for, as long as they have each other.

My thoughts:

This is the beautiful story of three women who are suffering the same fate, but come together in a way that they could ever imagine. I found it to be truly inspiring and somewhat satisfying as it touches everyone. The author brings a down to earth feel to this read.

Q:
How much do you visualize when you read? Do you imagine faces for the characters? Can you see the locations in your minds eye? Or do you just plunge ahead with the story, letting the imagery fall to the wayside?
It depends sometimes I can visualize the characters and places if I really get into the story. Otherwise I just go with the story as I read on.

Swimming in the Moon by Pamela Schoenewaldt Post-Review

Swimming in the Moon   by Pamela Schoenewaldt

Italy 1905. fourteen year old Lucia and her young mother, Theresa, are servants in a magnificent villa on the Bay of Naples, where Theresa soothes their unhappy mistress with song. But volatile tempers force them to flee, exchanging their warm, gilded cage for the cold winds off Lake Erie and Cleveland's restless immigrant quarters.

I found that Theresa's struggle to help her mother find some happiness through her singing is a constant up and down event. Her mother sacrificed a lot for Lucia and she feels she has to do her part to help her mother all that she could. But in the end she is sacrificing her whole life as her mother's illness deteriorates.
It's a story of love and beyond the new life they are trying to create in America. A truly captivating story.
