WWW
My words are taken from : After The Fire by J.A. Jance, which I just started reading.
1. Panoply- A complete or impressive collection of things.
2. Dichotomy- A division or contrast between two things that are represented as being opposed or entirely different.
Two great words. I knew panoply but couldn't have come up with the definition. Thanks for commenting on my WWW too and I hope you enjoy the book.
ReplyDeleteHi Mary Ann,
ReplyDeleteYeah! I knew both of your words this week, a real cause for celebration.
I also found a great new book to add to my wishlist, from a new to me author. I don't read non-fiction, however after researching 'After The Fire' and discovering that although it has certain qualities of a memoir, it is in fact a collection of poetry, mirroring the author's feelings and emotions, my interest was definitely aroused.
Whilst not an aficionado of poetry, I know what I like and I do enjoy dipping in and out of a poetry book, from time to time.
Thanks for featuring this great find,
Yvonne
I knew your words this week, but am more familiar with dichotomy than panoply.
ReplyDeleteI knew panoply because there was a store named that in a town we used to live in. Great words today!
ReplyDeleteThese are two great words that I am a little familiar with, but haven't had much opportunity to use.
ReplyDeleteLindsay- Thanks!
ReplyDeleteYvonne- Hope that you get to read it.
Louise- That's great.
Bermudaonion- That's very interesting.
William- Thanks! for commenting.
