Heart Of The Matter by Emily Giffin Review-post
My thoughts:
I found this to be a heart warming story of two women , one a stay-at-home mom who is the wife of a Pediatric Surgeon, and a single mom, Valerie ,who is a lawyer and the mother of a six year old boy. When Tessa's husband, who is the surgeon operates on Valerie's six year old son, they become too close for comfort.
Tessa does not believe her husband would ever cheat on her and can't wrap her mind around it. They are both good women and learn the heartache that caused this unfortunate affair.
Valerie always wanted a stable life for her son with a father of his own , but not with the biological father.
The lesson here is forgiveness under very difficult circumstances as the three people involved make some hard decisions. I found this to be a good read.

Q:
And, the reverse-which actors have been badly cast in roles of characters you first met in the pages of a book? Do you blame the actors or the writers and other film-people for the failure? Who would you have cast instead?
I thought the character Peeta in the Hunger Games was mis-cast, he just didn't fit the role after reading the series. But that is my personal opinion.

Daughters Of Fortune by Tara Hyland Review-Post
Daughters Of Fortune by Tara Hyland Review-Post
William Melville's daughters are heiresses to the world's most exclusive fashion dynasty. Beautiful and rich, they are envied by all. But behind the glittering facade of their lives, each girl hides a dark secret that threatens to tear their family apart.
My Thoughts:
Three daughters Elizabeth, Caitlin, and Amber who are rich heiresses to a fashion dynasty and are trying to find their own way in life are also three different people.
This was an interesting story of how each of their lives plays out in the world. It' a nice mix of big business, romance and intriguing circumstances, which kept me turning pages to find out what was going to happen next in their lives. It all boils down to family in the end. Their own secrets are revealed which brings them closer.

Me On The Floor Bleeding by Jenny Jagerfeld Review-Post
Me On The Floor Bleeding by Jenny Jagerfeld Review-Post
Summary:
In the midst of her journey of self-discovery, Maja falls in love and describes each moment with such bare bones honesty that one can't help but be drawn into the psyche of this seventeen year old girl. She is both wise beyond her years an naive in ways one wouldn't expect. Her story begins with sawing off the tip of her thumb by accident and ends with a bittersweet revelation.
My Thoughts:
I was drawn into this story by going through with Maja in her somewhat difficult relationship with her parents. Being sort of lost and desperately trying to find answers, she gets herself into situations with an older boy whom she meets at a party and falls in love with him.
Having an absent mom and not understanding how she acts with her certainly leaves her very confused, but when she finds out the truth it helps her a great deal.
I didn't think I would find this to be a page-turner but surprisingly I did.

Victor Hugo's nineteen year old daughter drowned in 1843. Ten years later, Hugo began participating in seances to contact her.
I found it to be a suspenseful tale that captures the reader's attention from the beginning. This is the first book I've read from this author and found it to be a very imaginative read. It delves into the spirit world of trying to contact the dead through seances. It is truly not your typical ghost story.
I would recommend reading this very interesting book.
