Booking Through Thursday

Booking Through Thursday

Q:  Does your current mood affect your reading? Affect your choices. I know there are plenty of books I enjoy, but only if I'm in a particular kind of mood- or books that can lift me out of a bad mood without fail. Surely I'm not alone?

I make it a point and try to sit down and read for at least an hour a day. I relax with a book and it doesn't matter what the genre is, it's usually something I might enjoy. My mood doesn't really affect what I read.

  1. That sounds like a good way to read...I am more subject to my moods when making my reading choices.

  3. Ah, I wish I was the same. I'm very moody in a genre kind of way.

  4. I think my mood does affect my reading. When I have a lot on my mind, it can be hard to concentrate.

  5. I love reading as a form of escape. Some days the need to escape is greater than others!

  7. I have to admit, I'm very influenced by my mood when I'm reading.

  8. Sometimes I wish I still had that kind of discipline, but I lost it through 20+ years of reading academic books that had to be read, no matter how boring.

  9. I think it's great that your mood doesn't affect your reading and I love that you set aside at least an hour a day for it. Thanks for stopping by my BTT post!

  10. I read regardless of my mood, but sometimes I need to pick up another book because I'm just not in the mood to read the book I have.
    Thanks for stopping by!

  12. That's a pretty good idea. I have gone weeks without reading due to slumps but if I make myself read for an hour everyday I'd get some good progress through those times.
