Q: Tell us about the most emotional scene you've ever read in a book-and how did you react?
Tuesdays With Morrie is a book that was very emotional for me. It was about an older man dying and a younger one visiting him every Tuesday until he died. A tear jerker.

Q: Movies have a rating system to help guide the consumer weed out adult/violent/inapproiate kinds of films. Video games do, too.
Do you think BOOKS should have a ratings system?
I think we have the right amount of categories for books as it stands, too many would be confusing.

Children Of Liberty By Paullina Simons Post-Review
Children Of Liberty By Paulina Simons Post- Review
Summary:
At the turn of the Century and the dawning of the modern world, the fortunes and future of the Barringtons and Attavianos become entertwined on a collision course between the old and the new, between what is expected and what is desired, what is chosen and what is bestowed, what is given and what is taken away.
My Thoughts:
This is a fairly lighthearted read that centers around the romance of fourteen year old Gina, who arrives from Italy and Harry Barrington a wealthy son ,who is twenty one at the time. She pursues him for six years even though he is engaged to someone else.
It also has reference to the Panama Canal construction, which is the pet project of Harry's friend, Ben. I'll have to read the other books in this series to really compare. I can't say I didn't like the book, but found it to be a little long.

The Poisoned Island By Lloyd Shepherd Post- Review
The Poisoned Island By Lloyd Shepherd Post - Review
I found this to be a thrilling story filled with lots of intriguing occurrences as they try to find out why the crew of the ship called Solander were found with their throats slashed and smiles on their faces.Could there be a conspiracy involved?
Charles and Abigail Horton try to get to the bottom of these strange deaths and what's causing them.
It's a page turner to be sure filled with expectation, trying to find who or what was involved in these murders. It's a good read that takes you on a great journey.

Q: What is your guilty pleasure as far as reading? Is it a genre, or is it a certain type of book?
My guilty pleasure, but isn't really guilty is reading my favorite genre Historical Fiction. I should be reading more of it and not feeling guilty about it. What is yours?

Buster The Shih-tzu pup
Buster
Buster is still playing in the snow and it's officially spring out there, I think. Soon he is due for his springtime shots, which are due soon. I think he is going to weigh a little bit more due to the wintertime lack of walking exercise, hopefully that will start again when the weather warms up. Well, until the next time, Buster says "hi."

Q: Does your current mood affect your reading? Affect your choices. I know there are plenty of books I enjoy, but only if I'm in a particular kind of mood- or books that can lift me out of a bad mood without fail. Surely I'm not alone?
I make it a point and try to sit down and read for at least an hour a day. I relax with a book and it doesn't matter what the genre is, it's usually something I might enjoy. My mood doesn't really affect what I read.

Looking For Me By Beth Hoffman Review-Post
Looking For Me By Beth Hoffman Review-Post
Summary:
Teddi Overman found her life's passion for furniture in a broken-down chair left on the side of the road in rural Kentucky. Breathing new life into discarded objects gives Teddi purpose but has never alleviated the haunting uncertainty she's felt since her brother Josh's mysterious disappearance.
My Thoughts:
An enjoyable read that I found hard to put down. Teddi's life was shattered when her brother disappeared but didn't stop her from moving on and doing what she loved best. It's a heart warming story of a girl who had very strong convictions and courage.
