Booking Through Thursday

Booking Through Thursday

Q: Do other people influence what you choose to read? When a family member recommends something, or a friend says they hated a book you were planning to read...does it affect your reading choices?

Sometimes other people affect my choices, most of the time it's a family member. I do on the other hand like to judge a book myself. How about you?

  1. Yes, I tend to be my own judge regarding books.

  2. I agree. I think it's great to listen to what other people say and ultimately decide for yourself! Thanks for stopping by.

  3. I rarely pay attention to reviews, but if a friend or family member recommends something, I'll consider it -- particularly if it is within a genre I like.

  4. I usually go with recommendations from friends but I read want I want in the end. :)

  5. Ultimately, I make the choice...but I pay attention to what others enjoy, as well, especially around the blogosphere.

    Thanks for visiting my blog.

  6. My recommendations vary from what I hear (I just want to see what the hoopla's about... lol), to my friends to fellow bloggers. As for my family members... I don't even bother because I'm in no way interested in Adult or Nonfiction books. :p

    Thanks for stopping by! :)

  7. I do get influenced by other bloggers, but mostly I like to judge a book on my own.

  9. Most usually yes, I judge a book by myself and let others have their own opinion of the book by themselves. Keeps things simple.
