Booking Through Thursday
Q: Do you lend your books? Are any out on loan right now? Do you have any that have been loaned to you? Do you put a limit on these? Do you think people should make an effort to read the loaned book quickly?
After I have read a book, if anyone is interested in reading it, I usually let them read it without a time limit. Only if it is a library book, do I expect consideration for getting it back on time.
Oh, I would never lend a library book! That would freak me out...lol
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting my blog.
I do loan out books that I have already read. However, I draw the line with books I haven't read yet. But I would never lend a library book, that would be to stressful.
ReplyDeleteI have borrowed children's books from the library for relatives and returned them too. Otherwise, I don't lend books as the adult I know read seldomly and have little time.
ReplyDeleteMy answer is it depends, both on the book and the person...

Lending library books could be a bit risky.
ReplyDeleteI never lend library books, unless I want to never see books ever again. My worst nightmare. Though if I own it, I don't really mind, but I do expect that the person returns it in the few months or I won't be a very happy camper.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by! :)

If the book is special to me, I'm careful about who I lend it to, other than that, I don't worry about getting it back.
ReplyDeleteNobody ever really asks to borrow books from me.
