Teaser Tuesday
My teaser today comes from the book I'm currently reading called Spirit Of Lost Angels by Liza Perrat. pg 241.
With his rose-colored satin suit embroidered in silver, his hooked nose and the small scar on his left temple, I could never have mistaken the Marquis de Barberon.
Sounds like an unmistakable character. My teaser: Holiday Hideout

Hi Mary Ann,
ReplyDeleteThis character definitely sounds like one of the French Bourgeoisie and something of a 'Dandy' to boot, given the rose satin he is sporting and the giveaway long, hooked nose.
I was so intrigued that I did check out the full synopsis and the author's website. Liza would certainly have had plenty of opportunity to gather research material for the book, given that she has lived in France for over 20 years and is married to a Frenchman.
Having seen the stage show of Les Miserables so many times, the period of turmoil which it shares with this book, makes 'Spirit Of Lost Angels', a real must for my reading list, so thanks for the recommendation.
Yvonne
