Too many characters that aren't necessary and hard to keep straight annoys me the most. What's yours?

That's a good one. I don't like when there are too many characters, either. It gets too confusing.

Thanks for visiting my blog! Too many minor characters bother me, like, "Oh this is so and so, this is so and so's friend, and don't forget so and so's brother because they'll never come up again in the story except maybe in the background."

I'm with you on too many characters. Not only are they hard to keep track of, they're usually not well developed.
ReplyDeleteI agree, a barrage of characters is not only confusing but detrimental to the story. The plot usually suffers because the focus is on the character development.

I agree, but do not mind if some good new ones get introduces through a series, its ok then, but yeah, too many makes it hard to keep track. :)

Oooo! I have to agree. When there are too many characters in the story, I often get lost remembering who is who and where they fit in.
