What are the chances that both yourself and Kathy both came up with the same word, 'senescence'!!
I also know of 'ennui', however 'condign' is a new one to me. I had no idea that there was a specific word for a fitting punishment and I am not sure that the word really fits its description ... a great one to drop into a conversation though, I'll bet that I would get some pretty blank looks ...

We both had senescence today! Hopefully that means I'll be able to remember it.
ReplyDeleteEnnui has long been one of my favourite words, it's particularly apt that it's a French concept. Never heard condign before.
ReplyDeleteI've seen ennui. Didn't know it's meaning.
ReplyDeleteFiction Books- I know that was really a coincidence.
ReplyDeleteBermudaonion- Me too!
