    What are the chances that both yourself and Kathy both came up with the same word, 'senescence'!!

    I also know of 'ennui', however 'condign' is a new one to me. I had no idea that there was a specific word for a fitting punishment and I am not sure that the word really fits its description ... a great one to drop into a conversation though, I'll bet that I would get some pretty blank looks ...

  3. Ennui has long been one of my favourite words, it's particularly apt that it's a French concept. Never heard condign before.
