Wondrous Words Wednesday
My words today are taken from the book: The Queen's Vow by: C.W. Gortner
1. Majestad- is the Spanish word for your majesty, her majesty.
2. Curative- serving or tending to cure, a remedy, something that cures.
3. Ocher- an earthy usually red or yellow often impure iron ore used as a pigment.
4. Meseta- "inner plateau" the high plains of central Spain.

Hi Mama- I did not know majestad, nor meseta - but it does sound like mesa, don't you think?
ReplyDeleteThanks!
I knew curative - it's actually used from time to time in this part of the country. Thanks for playing along!
ReplyDeleteI knew 2 and 3, but not your Spanish words
ReplyDeleteLibby- That's just what I thought too.
ReplyDeleteBermudaonion- You're welcome, I enjoy learning new words.
Louise- That's great.
