2. Threnody- A poem or song of mourning or lamentation.

3. Wizen- To shrival up; wither

    I knew two of your words, however 'threnody' is totally new to me.

    Hopefully it isn't a word that I shall be needing to drop into a conversation too often, but it does sound much better than a 'dirge'.
