Booking Through Thursday

Booking Through Thursday

Q:  What book took you the longest to read, and do you feel it was the content or just the length that made it so?

I would have to say Little Women, I read it when I was about ten & it seemed to me at that time a very long book to read. But I really liked the story.

  1. This reminds me of a conversation I had with my nephew a few weeks ago. I had a book he was interested in but he said it was too big and he couldn't read it. I tried to convince him that the longer it was, the more there was to enjoy but he didn't buy it.

  2. I've read many very long books, like Gone with the Wind and Forever Amber, not to mention some classics.

I don't know how long they took to read, since I would pick up books to read in between other activities.

Today I focused on recent years, and here's MY BTT POST

  4. I also read Little Women when I was younger and it did seem to take some time to finish. I wonder if i read it now, if it would still seem long?

    Here is my BTT

  5. I loved Little Women too. It's one of the few books I've re-read.

  6. I didn't read "Little Women" until a year or two ago. I don't think as a young person I would have read it. I would have probably found it boring. But, I have always loved the movies based on the book. And once I read the book "Little Women" I really enjoyed it so much that I've read "Jo's Boys" Little Men" another one I can't think of the title, and just over the week-end I read one of her books that she wrote in 1886, but it wasn't published until 1995.

  7. I know I have read Little Women... and unfortunately I feel like I may have categorized it under "not my favorites" though to be fair it was a long time ago and I can't really remember the story all that well. Perhaps it's one of those reads that comes with time and I should try to re-read it.
Thanks for stopping by and sharing your BTT! :D have a wonderful rest of the week!

  9. Hello! Thanks for visiting my blog!

I didn't really enjoy the only Alcott book I've ever read, The Spinning-Wheel Stories but Little Women seems to be a favourite with many.
