
Wondrous Words Wednesday
1. bibard-A French word derived from the Latin word bibere (drink, toast; visit)
2. garconniere- is a place where an unmarried man lives alone, a bachelor pad. A downtown loft apt.

Garconniere makes sense when you remember that garcon means boy.

ReplyDeleteTwo great words there. Both sound familiar, as Kathy says, I know garcon, and so garconniere makes sense. I think I knew bibere, but had forgotten it.
