Wondrous Words Wednesday
My words today are taken from Destination Truth by Josh Gates
1. dosimeter- Measures an individual's or an object's exposure to something in the environment.
2. sarcophagus- is a funeral receptacle for a corpse, most commonly carved or cut from stone.
3. shaloming- greetings, good day, good morning, bonjour, etc.
I knew sarcophagus from visiting Egyptian exhibits. Thanks for playing along!
ReplyDeleteShaloming is a great word! I want to use it. :)
ReplyDeleteShaloming is the only one I knew. I'm sure it's from shalome or "peace to you."
ReplyDeleteI knew sarcophagus from Egyptian exhibitions too, and have seen Napoleon's sarcophagus in Paris. Interesting words.
ReplyDeletebermudaonion, Suko, Margot, Louise- Thanks! for visiting my words.
