What's more Important: Good writing? or a good story?

They are both important, but sometimes good writing is the key to the storyline.

  3. Good writing, particularly if it's a unique character voice, can sustain many books that are less action-oriented. But yes, both are needed!!

    You're right. Of course a lacklustre plot is always a let-down but repulsive language and sloppy writing I just cannot take.

  7. Hello. I do agree that both are important but I'd choose good writing as well. There was a BTT I read and the blogger said something about how a writer weaves words. :)
