Waiting On Wednesday

Waiting On Wednesday

This week's pre-publication "can't-wait-to read" selection is:

The Priest And The Peaches
by Larry Peterson

Release Date: 1-1-12

(an upcoming Young Adult E book release from Tribute Books)

Take a seven day journey with the five, newly orphaned Peach kids, as they begin their struggle to remain a family while planning their dad's funeral. They find an ally in the local parish priest, Father Tim Sullivan, who tries his best to guide them through the strange, unchartered, and turbulent waters of "grown-up world". A story that is sad, funny and inspiring as it shows how the power of family love and faith can overcome seemingly insurmountable obstacles.

  1. Hi Mary Ann,

This sounds like an emotional journey for the family involved and hopefully will provide its young readers with an insight into the real world of life and death, without being too alarmist.

I don't read an awful lot of YA fiction, although my current book is a review request from the author of a YA/fantasy story, which I have to say has enthralled me.

Hope that you enjoy the book, when you manage to get your hands on a copy.
