My teaser is taken from: Archimedes' Claw by Theodore Morrison MD

By the time he got to the part about the spiral blood splatter,Maddy was mesmerized. The Archimedes' spiral scribed in Professor Hayhurst's blood fascinated her the most. Pg. 117.
