Buster- The Shih-tzu pup

Buster- The Shih-tzu-pup

On Saturday we decided to take Buster on the 5k walk benefit in our town. Thinking he might tire out after awhile I was a little skeptical about it. Well he proved me wrong and went at a fierce pace through-out the 3.1 mile walk. He was the smallest dog in it and we came in last at 1 hour and 4 seconds. Yes, we finished the walk and I am very proud of him.Pretty good for a 9 month old puppy.

  2. I really think these smaller dogs have at least half, if not two thirds more energy than the bigger dogs. I do know that my little chihuahua mix runs back and forth, here and there five times more (at least) oftenn than our bigger dog- who will sometimes not even lift his head to bark when he hears noise out front. Nope, the big one (when he's had a little bit of excercise) will simply lay there, open his eyes and bark or give a tired growl. The little one jumps around and incessantly is checking the doors, the windows, every single sound he hears. If I followed him around the house when ever he moved, I'm sure I'd be pretty skinny. And very tired. :)

  4. Congrats, that's a great job! Buster is such a cutie pie too! We have a golden retriever and chocolate lab and they would be dragging me across the finish line. :)
