Booking Through Thursday
What's the largest your personal library has ever been? What is the greatest number of books you've ever owned at one time? Is your collection now the biggest it's ever been? or have you downsized? What is the fewest number of books you've ever owned?
Since reaching retirement age my personal library is at it's largest at this time.I have now about fifty books which I own and it is growing. The fewest books I have owned is probably six a few years back, I usually went to the library.
Good for you! That's manageable!
ReplyDeleteUbiquitous...that's books for me...Booking Through Thursday: Size Matters.
I also love the library. I usually reserve audio books so I can listen to novels while doing other things. I love my books in a way that I don't have time for ornaments or nic-nacs. Nothing nicer than relaxing with a good book and if I'm not feeling well, just browsing through an armful of books on gorgeous plants. I even love reading sock knitting patterns! Thank you for visiting my new book blog. http://unicornslaststand.blogspot.com/2011/06/hmmm-book-numbers.html
ReplyDeleteI agree, the library is fantastic! Nikki, I used to not like audiobooks...until I had a long commute to work and realized how helpful it was to listen to audiobooks. Now I want to start using them again while I clean house, kind of like an incentive.
ReplyDeleteAh, I often think that having things manageable is a great goal...so far, I haven't succeeded. LOL
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting my blog.
I used to go to the library all the time. I need to start again. It's easier on the budget and when you're done they go back and don't take up space in your house!
ReplyDeleteHere's My BTT
Let me just say that my personal library has exploded since I got a Kindle for Christmas! In less than a year, I've surpassed 50 books. Before my Kindle, my personal library was probably around 20 books, but my husband has hundreds.
ReplyDeleteNow that's a nice amount to have in your TBR. I wish mine was like that.
ReplyDeleteI don't go to the library here because our state library isn't good... I'm sure your collection will increase now that you're no longer a regular at the library.
ReplyDeleteDeb Nance, Nikki, Kristy- Thanks! for commenting.
