Wonderous Word Wednesday

1.Wheelhouse-
In nautical context. The location of the steering wheel of a boat or ship.

2. Modicum-
A small or moderate token amount.

  1. Nice finds. My mom used to use modicum when I was young, as in, "I don't have a modicum of interest in what the other kids are allowed to do!" Thanks for bringing that little memory back :-)

  2. I can't say I ever used either of these words in a conversation. But I like the way Col's mom used the word modicum. My sorry answer to my kids was. "But I am not their mother, I am your mother.
