Sometimes it seems like people are just following social scripts, doesn't it?
Isn't that a quote with truth to it... Happy Reading!

Interesting Teaser - really makes me wonder what the book's about :)
People always ask polite questions without really wanting to know the real answer. Thanks for stopping by last week!
A wonderful teaser and rather sad.
Nice teaser. It's like when someone asks you how you are. They don't really want the truth!
I've been curious about this book. Hope you enjoy it! Great teaser! I know I get by day by day too. :)
Intriguing teaser - it has a level of sarcasm inbetween the words. Nice choice. Thanks for visiting my blog.Tania
Good teaser. Makes me wonder who expected that answer and what the person is going through.
So true, isn't it? Just like everyone expects you to say "fine" when asked how they are. Great teaser! Thanks for stopping by my teaser :)

@Shelly Munroe - lol - sometimes when people ask me how I am, I let them have it...the whole rundown. then I start laughing (inside, not outloud) at their slightly horrified look. I know it's not nice of me, but to be fair, I do tend to only do this to people who usually ask on the flyby - they're walking very fast past you, asking how are you by rote, and not really expecting the rundown...I'm actually nicer to the people who seem to care. :)I like this teaser also, but I'm not sure about the tense being used. I think I would end up putting the book aside. it's hard to read in this tense...for me anyway.
