Teaser Tuesday

Teaser Tuesday

Here is my Teaser from: The year We Left Home by Jean Thompson

People said, I don't know how you manage it, and you told them that you just did the best you could, day by day, which was what they wanted you to say.

  21. @Shelly Munroe - lol - sometimes when people ask me how I am, I let them have it...the whole rundown. then I start laughing (inside, not outloud) at their slightly horrified look. I know it's not nice of me, but to be fair, I do tend to only do this to people who usually ask on the flyby - they're walking very fast past you, asking how are you by rote, and not really expecting the rundown...I'm actually nicer to the people who seem to care. :)

I like this teaser also, but I'm not sure about the tense being used. I think I would end up putting the book aside. it's hard to read in this tense...for me anyway.

  23. What great teaser lines, which could be so true when applied to most of us these days.

I checked out the book and it sounds like quite an emotional and powerful story, of life at both its best and worst.
