BOOK GIVEAWAY & REVIEW: "The Shifters of 2040" by Ami Blackwelder

This novel was set in Alaska in 2040. It is the story of the struggle between shifters and humans. Melissa Marn works as a scientist for the SCM , trying to find the genetics of shifters and hybrids. I found the story a very fast read, I couldn't put it down. It takes you into the shifters struggles to live in the human world.

When Melissa finds out she was impregnated by one of them and decides to keep it since it is very much a part of her to,makes you understand the human feelings behind it all.

The Scm tries to raise an army of hybrids through experimentation, which leads to a lot of trouble. Prejudice reigns high among the humans and when finding out soldiers were being used as experiments, they are angry. To think that humans could become half animal and half human is eerie.

All in all- It is a very good read as I am really not a fan of this genre, but it really kept my interest.
