Black Swan - The Movie

A ballerina, played by Natalie Portman, wins the lead performance in "Swan Lake".
She becomes obsessed with the role and becomes more and more like the evil "Black Swan."
She slowly looses her mind after experiencing very intense and distressing periods before the production.
I myself, found the movie extremely uncomfortable to watch.A lot of the scenes were very objectionable.

  1. Good Day...not much of review in the true sense of the word so I will throw out my two cents. Although some of the scenes were "objectionable", I think it is good to stir people up, push us to the point of uncomfortable and still entertain us. It takes a lot for a movie to do that these days. Portman's acting was amazing in this role. It showed her range and depth. It seems we as a culture and society are a still too caught up in the shock factor of sexuality and awe-struck by a movie that pushes the boundaries. I say BRAVO for making us think and feel--even if the feeling was that of discomfort.

  2. I agree, this movie was pretty intense, but I think it was great overall ... awesome performances by Natalie and Mila ... I hope Natalie gets some kind of recognition for her role!
