Hi & Happy Friday! I really need a book budget and am working on it. TRYING to be good, which I've been for the last 2-3 weeks. YaY! We'll see how long that lasts after this weekend though. LoL Have a lovely book filled weekend!
THanks for coming by! Always happy to have a new reader. I hope you entered the contest.
I don't pay much attention to what I spend. Lately it hasn't been bad. Contests and ARCs and NetGalley are keeping me supplied.
One of the first books I reviewed with Net Galley was Tyger Tyger. The book comes out on Monday! And, it is one of my favorite books this year. Tyger Tyger Contest http://tinyurl.com/TyTyKHpost Fangs, Wands and Fairy Dust email: steph@fangswandsandfairydust.com Twitter: @fangswandsfairy
Hey, that's too vague! We need some definite numbers! How much variance? Is that the right word? I hope it is. $5 isn't much, but if you spent $10 one month and $50 the next, that's kind of a big jump :P
Seriously, I don't have one. I don't keep on buying books until I hit bankruptcy but neither do I hold myself back from buying a book that really speaks to me.
I exercise a fair amount of fiduciary responsibility but nothing so formal as to be called a book budget.
Hi, thanks for stopping by my blog! There seems to be two camps on the book budget thing, one who doesn't keep count and another who actually keeps tally. I personally don't want to know what I spend lol
I completely agree. Each month the budget varies--although admittedly, this has a lot to do with what's getting released. And then there's a large amount of time spent trying to sit on my hands to keep me from wandering on Amazon or adding books to my "Oh! That looks interesting!" to be read list on GoodReads. Thank you so much for stopping by my blog and I hope that you're having an amazing weekend! Also, I'm a new follower of yours now! ;D
A few years ago, I tried to cut back on my book expenditures a bit. So, now I get a lot of my books from the library. I also love to share books with friends and family, so when I do buy a book, I try to get a lot of mileage out of it by passing it around.
I do love to give and get books as gifts, though, and I have a very long list of want-to-reads!
